Research Areas
LNP-Based Inhibitors
Our research focuses on the development of Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) inhibitors designed to neutralize viruses such as SARS-CoV-2. These LNP formulations are engineered to target viral particles in the nasal cavity, preventing them from entering host cells and reducing the risk of infection. Our two main formulations, LNP-Trap and LNP-Trim, demonstrate significant efficacy in inhibiting viral entry and replication.
Gene Knockdown Therapies
We are pioneering the use of RNA interference (RNAi) technology to silence specific genes involved in viral entry. By delivering siRNA encapsulated in LNPs, our treatments can reduce the expression of key proteins that viruses exploit to infect cells. This targeted approach enhances the body’s natural defense mechanisms and provides a potent tool in the fight against emerging viral threats.
